Car description |
---|
Up for sale is a 1985 Mercedes-Benz 280CE with 151.9k miles. VIN is WDB1230531A201097. This was originally a euro model as well as the last year for the timeless W123 chassis!
Compared to the US market cars, this model has the very desirable slim euro bumpers and euro Bosch headlights. Diamond Blue paint on Blue MB Tex is a nice change of pace from the more common brown and beige colors sold here.Outside, the body is super straight with no sign of any accidents. It was repainted at some point and shines well. The car was previously a Florida car and is very dry with the exception of the small section by the right rear wheel (pictured).
Inside are newer seat covers, carpets, and dash cap. All gauges work, all power windows work except for the right rear, sunroof works as well. Heat blows hot too.
The motor starts on the first crank with 0 smoke or hesitation. The transmission takes a second to initially engage (likely a fluid and filter change) but shifts smoothly and quickly. Car drives tight with no rattles or slop. Brand new battery, fuel cut off relay, and oil service.
Overall a very nice driver from one of Mercedes' greatest eras.
Car is sold as-is. Clean and clear title in my name.
Do not hesitate to ask any questions!
Thank you
