Autobahn cruiser, 1972 Mercedes 280SE 4.5 V8 with 126K original miles. These are magnificent cars and the Mercedes benchmark for high performance and luxury in their mid class offering. These cars are commanding more and more respect and money among the collector community, do your research!. This is the rarer short wheel base car, the SE.This car does need some attention. I am the second owner, purchased from original owners grandson. Originally a California car has been in Oregon for the last 10 years. Last registered and running in 2013. The car has been parked for several years and will require maintenance to make it a driver. Currently it is not running. I have replaced the fuel pump, filter and battery and have done some trouble shooting and believe the issue may be the fuel injectors.I have done extensive trouble shooting and have verified everything working but the injectors . I have not had a chance to go back to it since I bought it in the summer and its probably time for it to find a new home. I do have a title in my name. This car has a very straight rust free body with poor original paint that may come back. The interior is in very good shape for its age with no splits of tears in the upholstery. I have had the motor running, and it sounds healthy but again, you are purchasing a non runner. Also the door latches are sticky and will require cleaning and servicing. I have replaced the window switches as well but they are cheap re-pops and not much better than the dead originals which are included. The Windows have worked for me.
Reserve set at starting price to protect my investment. Deposit required at close of auction, balance due 48 hours via bank draft or wire transfer.
Shipping is sole responsibility of buyer. Car must be removed in 30days or storage fees apply. I will make car available for easy transport.
