Overview- 1984 Mercedes Benz 380SL- Blue Interior/Exterior- 91,543 miles. I have added 3,000 of those miles in the last two years.- Garage-kept for its entire life and has only been operated in Hawaii, California, Maryland and Florida.
Mechanical/Operational Information- I have taken the 380SL to a couple of mechanics, and both mentioned independently that the car's engine and mechanical systems are in impeccable condition, despite its age.- Since I purchased it, I have had the following repairs/upgrades: - ignition control module - warm up regulator - spark plug - front lower ball joints - front control arm bushings - steering damper - wheel alignment - drive belts - tires for all four wheels - valve cover gaskets - oil pressure sender - shifter bushing - power steering - engine thermostat- Many of the above repairs were recommended, but not necessary.
Exterior Information- The original paint job still looks phenomenal!- There are only a handful of very, very small scratches or dings.
Interior Information- The interior of the car has some minor wear, but nothing unexpected.- The radio, although operable, is not currently installed. My most recent project was getting the original radio installed, but I've been too busy to work on that recently.
Reason For SaleI have enjoyed driving this car immensely, however, I realized this car was much better suited as a "weekend car" rather than a utility/everyday use car. It is light on storage capacity, and my job requires me to own a bigger car, as well as move every couple years. I have since purchased an additional car that is better suited for my job, and have decided that it would be best to sell the 380SL. The previous owner hoped I would take care of it, and I hope the same for the highest bidder.
