1972 Mercedes 220D W115 - 99% Restored, Rust Free Driver, incl Manual Parts

I'm selling my 1972 Mercedes 220D. I traded my goofy old truck for it months ago, nd while it's a fantastic car, t's just not what I want right now (I have my eyes on a local '84 911). I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere, t's very solid and reliable. When it's nice out I use it as my daily driver commuting to and from work (I've put about 3,000 miles on it so far). I get about 30mpg in town and on the highway. On the highway it'll comfortably cruise along over 70mph all day.

Overall it's in very nice rust-free shape. The guy I got it fromwas the 2nd owner, nd did all the restoration work on it about 5 years ago.The front fenders are new, he inner/outer rockers are new, nd the rear quarters below thebelt line are new. It wasn't originally two-tone, e opted for a factory-style two-tone scheme when they did the paintwork, nd it looks great. The mismatched hubcap on the front right is the only issue on the outside. Once the work was completed, e had it appraised for insurance, nd the appraiser settled on a $12,000 value.

The interior is in very nice shape. There are 2 small hairline cracks in the original dash. All the rubber is new around the doors, ent windows, nd front/rear windows. The kick panels have a funky floral pattern on them (the guy was a bit eccentric). I installed an old radio in it. Seats, arpet, oor panels, eadliner are all in nice shape.

The engine is a Mercedes OM615 diesel that was rebuilt by the factory at 51,000 miles. I ran a VIN check (included in the photos), nd when the guy titled it in OH in 2009, t had 65,078 miles on it. When I titled it this summer, N called it exempt since it's a 5 digit odometer. It's shockingly peppy and has no trouble in modern traffic. I usually get 30mpg around town with it. It starts right up as soon as the plugs are glowing.

When I say 99% restored, t's because there are a few known issues that weren't handled prior to me getting it: front righthubcap doesn't match, arking brake needs to be hooked up, xhaust should be replaced (decent used one included), indshield wiper fuse blows (needs to be diagnosed), nterior fan control only does low & high (good unit included), eeps coolant from heater core bypass, nd I believe that's it.

I have a lot of extras I'm including:Manual transmission conversion parts, ncluding transmission, riveshaft, edal box, lutch, lywheel, ressure plate, hift box (I think the only thing I'm missing is the shift knob).A/C components (I believe everything except for a condenser).Factory skid plate.A Hitch.

I also have:Extra Trim, rills, ubcaps, oor Panels, indow Glass, umpers, Dash, indow Regulators. Too much to pack into the car, ut if you're picking it up you're welcome to all you can carry.
