1978 Mercedes Benz 240D + Parts

For sale is a 1978 Mercedes Benz 240D 4 Speed along with an engine + parts from a 1977 300D and a spare set of wheels. The price is $1800 firm. The odometer broke at ~250K but the mileage is closer to 300K. The 4 speed manual trans was rebuilt a few months ago and has less than 500 miles on it. It will come with an OM617.912 (5 cyl NA diesel) engine from a 1977 300D plus the 4 speed auto trans that came bolted to it. The transmission has a cracked tail housing, ut functioned well when taken out of the car.The entire front end has been rebuilt within the past year, long with new brake calipers & pads, ront shocks, tarter, attery, low plugs, full OE exhaust, ront & rear springs, nd clutch. The car has replacement seats out of a 1983 300D that are like new. I have everything needed to replace the head gasket & more for the current engine. The car has some rust in common cancer spots for this chassis at this age; the bottoms of the front doors, he bottoms of the quarter panels, nd at the bottom corners of the windshield.Car currently has Ronal R31 wheels from a 560SEL with decent tires on them. The stock steelies & hubcaps will be included with practically new tires that I use for winter.
