I am selling my 1988 Mercedes Benz G300d W460. I bought this car in February from the original owner in the UK and had it imported to the US. It is in very good condition - only 66,000 original miles. The owner told me he had it stored in his neighbor's barn since 2004 (after successfully passing its MOT inspection - He gave me the documentation which verifies the miles). Since I got it out of the barn and sent to Texas, haven't done anything to it. It starts right up and drives without a problem, ut I have only driven it on to and off of trailers and around the port, o I can't speak to how well it would do on a long road trip or at high speeds, ut nothing would tell me there would be a problem. The best part of this car is the lack of rust - The pictures probably don't do it justice as to just how clean this car is underneath - the original paint in the wheel arches still shines and the chassis is the original black - not wax oiled or anything. The only rust on the body is around one of the tail light bezels and there are a couple of dents on the hood (looks like the hood got opened with a little too much excitement at some point). But other than that, he body is very straight and the paint is all original. It has the original 3.0L OM617.931 Inline 5 cylinder diesel engine that is legendary for its dependability and longevity. This is the engine that put Mercedes engineering on the map. Those Mercedes Diesel wagons that go for 500,000 miles have this engine - but you get it in a G Wagen. It has 66,000 miles, o it is very truly just broken in. There are no leaks or anything - and it's been sitting in my garage for 3 months. The interior could use some love - the original owner replaced the front seats with Recaros, ut one of the original's come with it. The original back seat is still there. There's some rips and tears and a few missing plastic pieces. This will be a project to get it back to perfect condition, ut it is a great starting point. I have all the importation documentation needed to register this like any other car, nd to prove it was imported legally. It was imported under the FMCSA exemption for age (being over 25 years old) so no modifications are necessary to make it legal for use on any US road. Please let me know if I can get you any other pictures or answer any questions. The G Wagen is currently in San Antonio, exas. Thanks for looking! Ebay doesn't like the European VIN. It is: WDB46033227054603
