Here we have a gorgeous, ow mileage 1980 Mercedes Benz 300TD diesel. Mechanically it is excellent, tarts up instantly(glow plugs of course) and purs .This is the non turbo version, hich isn't quite as fast, ut definitely enough power. I liked it because it was less to go wrong. The AC was squeaking and I don't use it anyway so I disconnected the belt. Everything is still in tact though if you want to bring it back up. The car was obviously properly maintained in its past. The exterior is in great shape. The paint job shines. There are a couple nicks here and there, hat I tried to document with pictures, long with a couple little rust spots that can easily be taken care of. Also two spots where over the course of 35 years has been buffed through. But overall She looks great! The interior is in amazing condition, o rips or tears in the seats, verything is clean. Only thing is the typical cracking in the dash. I would get a cover if I were to keep it. The wheels pictured on it are Borbet 16" wheels with Ok tired, robably about due for a change at the end of the season but the car also comes with the original 14" Mercedes Bundt wheels with nearly new Bridgestone tires. ( I just never liked the Bundt style) Last year I was in the market for a family car, ainly drive older Benz diesels and was very confident trusting a 300TD for many years as a family car. I searched all over the eastern US and actually found the lowest mileage example, ot too far from me. I got it and was very happy with plans on keeping it for a long long time. Then the cold months started hitting Ohio and with the crap they use on the roads up here, just didn't have the heart to let this car see any salt, o i put it away. I wasn't planning on selling it but I really do not need another vehicle that can only be driven in the summer. So it must go. I am not happy about this. Please feel free to ask any questions or request any more pictures then what I have. Anyone is also welcome to come inspect it. This car can be driven back across the country with confidence.
