Car description |
---|
Both Titles in hand. Both vehicles will be in a storage unit, and must be towed by buyer.
White miata:
1992 Rolling shell Miata. It comes with all the car parts needed, just doesn't have a soft top. Engine has approximately 100K miles on it, but it's not installed. Chassis has 83K miles on it. Interior is in amazing condition (non-cracked dash too). It's a good project car. Downside, is that it needs to be built, and has to have electrical work done. Upside, is that I have a donor car to come with it, which has been inspected by a mechanic, and is in amazing mechanical condition.
1991 Red Miata:
Good:
New timing belt, timing belt guide bearings, timing belt crank sporket, water pump, coolant thermostat, coolant thermostat sensor, front crank seal.
Coils, plugs and wires.
New alternator.
New battery.
New angle cam sensor.
Cooling fan motors were replaced.
AC compressor relays have been replaced.
Shifter has been rebuilt with Moss Miata kit, new clutch and slave cylinder.
Has poly sway bar bushings with adjustable end links.
Has Koni yellow adjustable sport shocks, and also has Ground Control coilover conversion with Eibach springs new in the box, for the shocks.
Hard Dog m2 sport rollbar.
Has new head unit.
Bad:
Donor car.
Body, and chassis are useless. Bent chassis in a pothole wreck, so the suspension will not be fixed.
Broken rack & pinion
Broken control arms on the right side.
Body damage.
Dash is cracked (common)
No interior carpet (has floor mats + rear shelf carpet.)
Needs a throw out bearing in the trans, but comes with a new unopened one, as well as a new rear main seal.
Passenger control arm is bent, but also comes with brand new unopened control arm (expensive part).
All in all, the white miata isn't perfect. One thing to keep in mind, is that the headlamps are the rare original glass headlights from 1992, which are in perfect condition. It needs work, but comes with a car, which has good donor parts. I was having the red miata repaired at the shop, but the mechanic let me know the chassis was bent, and would be too much trouble to fix. He did say all the mechanical components work perfectly, but it doesn't drive for the simple fact that the suspension (NOT THE SHOCKS), aren't good. Both cars are 5 speed manuals. If you want a car build, this is it. It shouldn't take more than a month to put the car together, with some help.
