Car description |

No Reserve. Up for sale is a one of a kind ride. Texas car state inspection up to date. Clean Texas Title. The V8 swap was done about 2 years ago. Since V8 swap, the car has about 5,000 miles on it. The odometer shows 15445 on it, but is not the actual mileage of the car. The previous owner installed new gauges and the mileage was not maintained. The swap and upgrades were done by several shops, people, and myself (skilled mechanic, previous diesel mechanic). This car was built intended for me to race, but has never been raced. I am in school, have a one year old child, and another child on the way. I have too many toys and not enough time and money, so some things have to go. I would drive this car anywhere and have been on several road trips without any problems. Since V8 swap this car was driven from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to Tyler, Texas for an 1100 mile trip among others trips. I drive this car about once every week or two and to car shows or groups. For those who don't know about the V8 swaps, the aftermarket subframes are lighter and actually save weight and the all aluminum V8 unit is about the same weight as the stock Miata unit fully dressed. The weight and weight distribution is almost identically retained. I have owned many Miatas and this handles like a Miata. I love this car and will be sad to see it go. This is the funnest car you will ever drive. This car will sit you back and PULL in any gear. Among all the toys/cars I have owned the rolling acceleration and handling is unmatched. This car is great for a daily driver and/or racing and is 100% ready to go. The car has a small hum from the aftermarket differential in fifth and sixth gear at highway speeds but is normal and have had it looked by multiple people. I have well over 20k invested in the car. My loss your gain. I will help accommodate your shipping and transportation needs. Feel free to come by and look at car at any time or ask questions. My number is four 3 two 5 nine 9 zero 2 three 2 (Blaise). Serious bidders only. Bidders who back out will be reported. Deposit due within 48 hours.
Performance -V8 Swap parts used on the car came from V8 roadsters, flyin miata, and boss frog or were customized. All major parts such as subframes were used from aftermarket companies.LS2 engine and Tremec T56 Transmission (6 speed). This is an actual all aluminum LS2 out of a 2007 Corvette and not an ls1 or ls truck engine.Ford 8.8 Driveline, I don't remember the exact gear ratio but I know for sure is somewhere in the low to mid 3. range. Premium axels and driveshaft was used intended for racing.Brake rotors slotted and cross drilled with Porterfield brake pads.Mishimoto high volume radiator with dual electric fans. Fans come on at factory tune temperature setting. Aftermarket toggle switch installed to override and have fans on at all times if wanted. All gauges work (RPM, speedometer, fuel, oil pressure). Aftermarket water temperature and voltmeter gauge installed.Long tube headers and 3" full exhaust sounds great and is moderate in loudness, not mild but not too much.Kosei Lightweight wheels. Dunlop Dereza 205/50/15 tires. I was going to upgrade the tires to 245/40/15 or 225/45/15 when they wore out but they still have over half tread left on them.Engine management is a stock tune by GM stock unit, OB-II port maintained for return codes. Stock tune is 400HP/400Torque but probably has a little more because of the upgrades (headers, exhaust, cold air, etc.). 500hp is easily attainable with a cam and tune with current upgrades if that's your cup of tea, but it is plenty fast enough.Megan Racing adjustable coilovers. Current suspension is firm.
Interior - As seen in pictures stock interior is in great condition. An aftermarket roll bar is installed. New Kenwood CD/MP3/AM/FM/USB player and Kenwood speakers sound great and have more than enough sound for the car. Car does not have AC but blower motor and heater work. I have AC parts (compressor, condenser, etc.) that will come with the car if you would like to add it to car yourself. I did not add it because the car was built with racing in mind, it is a power/weight suck, and the car is a convertible.
Exterior - Car was repainted about a 1-2 years ago and has been garaged ever since. Custom cowl hood breathes to air at back of hood. Car comes with hard top and soft top which are in great condition, are both functional and work great with no leaks of air or water. A few road nicks like any car but other than that looks great. Aftermarket tail lights. All lights are functional.
