1988 Mazda RX-7 coupe turbo II 5 speed manual - black w/ grey interior

clear ma title with 88,826 miles

I am the second owner. I bought this in 1997 with 29K miles on it from a local BMW dealer. This is a coveted classic that needs lots of TLC

This car has been in a climate-controlled storage for about 10 years put away with gas stabilizer, etc. With a new battery, after 10 years - started right up!

The "good”:

New battery*

Aftermarket car cover included

Most repair invoices from 1997 - 2007

Issues:

*New battery - but has an unexplored electrical drain - I have installed a battery cutoff in the meantime to not drain the battery

One of popup headlights only goes down about 75%. Motor appears to be working though.

Crack in manifold

A/C does not work

Driver's side window will not go down

Intermittent setting on the wipers does not work

Was stored with the tires on and inflated, they re-inflated OK, and I drove on them for 10 miles, but they will probably need to be replaced because they are now "lumpy”.

Drivers side seat headrest will need leather repaired

Exterior in good condition, but does have some scratches -especially near the gas tank - I HAVE ADDED A BETTER PIX OF THAT AREA'S ISSUES AT THE END.

Small dents on drivers lower side panel and on very front bottom

Wheels are in bad cosmetic condition

Radio works, but I don't believe that the CD player or cassette player do.

I HAVE ADDED 6 NEW PIX AT THE END TO SHOW SMALL RUST PLACES NOT PREVIOUSLY VISIBLE.

THE SUNROOF MOTOR WORKS GREAT, AND THOUGH THERE IS RUST ON THE RAILS, IT STILL OPENS AND CLOSES AT IT SHOULD.

SORRY, I DO NOT HAVE PIX OF THE UNDER CARRIAGE.

I have had many RX-7s over the years, but am by no means an expert ! Just a fan of this coveted 2nd gen models. I have done my best to describe the issues and condition. All pictures are part of the description.

Car is currently covered in a driveway in Cambridge, Ma. ready for sale.
