I have a 1984 GSL-SE for sale. It runs and drives like new. I have owned this RX7 for a little over 2 years, and have put about 7,000 miles on it. I am the third owner, and when I bought it already had an aftermarket stereo and antenna, but everything else was still stock, with original paint and had been garaged. I've mostly maintained the stock feature, but upgraded the stereo. All new alpine speakers, front and back; dual alpine amps; and touchscreen navigation system with reverse camera. The system is satellite based and no subscription required for the maps/navigation. It works great - auto tunes to the camera when in reverse, plus wired so that you can view the rear camera while driving, if you'd like. I also restored the power antenna with the original Mazda part, and it works perfectly with the stereo (only up when unit is on radio). I also went away from stock on the exhaust - it has the full RacingBeat exhaust, which gave a good boost in performance and gives a nice sound. I also went away from stock on the springs and struts - it has the RacingBeat springs with Tokiko struts. I went stock on everything else, including: 1) FULL suspension - not poly - I used full Mazda parts on the rear and front - everything has been restored including wheel bearings and idler arms and tie rods 2) Brakes - all new rotors/pads, hoses, and front calipers 3) AC - replaced the compressor and refilled with genuine R12; 4) Clutch - put new Exceedy clutch/pressure plate, throwout bearing, slave cylinder. All hoses and belts have been replaced; fluids changed, etc. The car has been well cared for its entire life, and it shows. The original rims are here in storage - freshly restored and powder coated - I just prefer the aftermarkets -- all this comes with the car, of course. This model has both the clear glass sunroof as well as the color toned (white) panel with a leather storage pouch - all this is in original condition. I have all paperwork, as well as an excel spreadsheet that details dates, mileage, brands and more of every work and part I've put on this vehicle. Additionally, I still have a bunch of unused OEM parts that I never used, such as brake master cylinder, rear brake calipers, etc, that wasn't needed at the time for one reason or another, or multiples were ordered. All these parts go with the vehicle. I also have a vintage RX7 "bra" still in the box, that goes with the car, as well as a car cover. AND, if you're interested, I can give the winning buyer a jump drive FULL of RX7 links and info, such as full manuals on this specific model, as well as general information on rotary engines.
This car is ready to drive. I wouldn't hesitate to take it to California. I used to drive it to Frankfort on twice monthly work visits and it's a blast to drive. I've had it at 100 mph several times on the parkway on these trips and it still has plenty left if I was willing. I've made a lot of friends through the rotary groups while I owned this car, and I'll sure miss this ride, but I hardly ever have time to enjoy and it hurts my back getting in and out of the vehicle. I've really enjoyed this ride.
On Mar-29-19 at 22:38:09 PDT, seller added the following information:
NEW PICS and QUESTIONS ANSWERED --- Been questions about the odometer. I bought this car from a guy in Indiana that was a state police. I was told that during a previous transfer, the miles were under reported, and that a subsequent emissions testing it showed a few hundred less. He also told me he could do some form, a sworn affidavit and have this corrected, but I never followed up. I still have his contact information. Also something about a lien -- no lien at all - clean title in my name - ready to transfer.
I've added a few more pictures, as some were requesting pics of the spare tire area to check for rust. There is no rust in this area, as you can see. This has been a garaged car.
I have over $10,000 in this car, which I have all paperwork to prove (goes with the car). The reserve price is within $500 of current high bid, which is a steal.
