Car description

1993 Autozam AZ-1 by Mazda for sale in Houston, Texas
Japanese Market VIN: PG6SA-102535 (listed as invalid by eBay, but is legit)
Date of Entry: 11/11/2017 with clear DOT HS-7 and Texas Title and Vehicle Inspection dated to March 2019
Car is in excellent condition, having had a recent major service which included new spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor, rotor, rebuilt RHB31 turbocharger (from Majestic Turbo in Waco, TX), new coolant temperature probe and sensor, new Schrader valves on the AC compressor (with subsequent re-charge of R12), and removal of 140kph speed limiter.
I've owned the car for almost a year, and installed a new US single DIN headunit, the Kenwood KDC-BT32, new speakers behind the original door card, and for ease of entry & add some leg room (I'm 6'1" & 235lb), an HKB OU-26 steering wheel up, NRG SRK-200NB quick-release, and an OMP Superquadro steering wheel. The stock hub & wheel will be included in the sale. The importers, Adam's Garage / SODO Moto added fresh powder coated O. Z. Racing wheels after import (with a $1500 mark-up).
Car drives excellent, and is a lot of fun, being mid-engined, RWD, right hand drive, 5-speed. I have only added about 2000km in the 10 months of owning it, mostly in-around Houston's inner-loop. AC blows super cold, the headlights are excellent, oil was changed with Liqui Moly synthetic when I took ownership last year.

Speaking of paint, it isn't perfect but still in really good condition for a 26 year old care. There is some paint missing on the front splitter. There is also paint damage above the wheels along the sill line behind the rear side windows (presumably from "hip mounted" door ding protector pads from a previous owner in Japan). There is also some minor paint issues along the rear panel and scuffed paint on the inside of both doors (not visable when the doors are shut). The leather boots on the parking brake & shifter are in poor condition, the drivers side right seat bolster is partially collapsed (common as it's a common place to grab when getting in/out), and there is a little paint rubbed off of the speedometer from the limiter removal (literally clipping a resistor behind the gauge cluster).

There is an FRP MazdaSpeed style wing available for an additional $500, that I unfortunately never mounted. I was going to paint it when I got some paint imperfections cleared up.
I'm open to offers so feel free to reach out. I can take additional pictures of different areas if requested and am open to meeting in/around Houston.
