Car description

I am the second owner of this Miata. I purchased it in July 1997 with approximately 8,000 miles on the odometer. I was assured that it had never been in an accident, and it has never been in any accident since I have owned it. It has never been driven in snow, ice or salt since I have owned it, but was used regularly in rain, storms and summer sun. It has never been raced, autocrossed or tracked. It has been exceptionally reliable as evidenced by the length of time I have kept it. I am now regretfully selling it because I have purchased a 2016 Miata. If you are reading this, you are probably aware of how rare the yellow 1992 is, and I am hoping someone will purchase it to restore. This car is now eligible to be licensed as an antique or classic in many states.
As can be seen in the photos, the body has rust in both rear rocker panels and one rear quarter panel. I had an estimate of $450 to $500 to repair this, which I assume would be a driver quality repair. The rest of the body is in good shape, and the original paint can be preserved. There is one scratch on the driver's door, and a couple very small hail dings which can be removed with paintless dent removal. In 2003, there occurred some hail damage that was removed by paintless dent removal with excellent results. Door, hood and trunk gaps are as original.
The front and rear bumpers are still in good condition and are not dried out, but could use polishing. The front bumper has never been backed into, so there is no license plate bracket indentation. The rear bumper also has no damage. The rubber window seals on the top of the doors where the window rolls down were replaced last summer. Both window regulator mechanisms have been replaced once. Both windows roll up and down a bit stiffly, so the regulators may some day need to be lubricated or replaced. The old original mechanisms will be provided for repair (instructions on internet) if desired. The top is serviceable and the rear window is relatively clear. The top cover which is used when the top is down is in great condition. The hub caps have been repainted.
The whole interior is in great condition; it was never smoked in, no pets or children, and seldom was food consumed while driving. The leather steering wheel is nice with only a small rough area in the rear of where ones right hand rests. All of the vinyl is in nice shape. The seats are good with no tears, and only some fading and wear on the driver's seat. The original carpet is very good and even the original mats are relatively good.
The car has been very reliable mechanically. I have replaced spark plugs and wires more often than required. The timing belt, other belts and water hoses were replaced at about 105, 000 miles in October, 2010. The battery was replaced in June 2017. The air conditioning was updated to R134a, but requires recharging about every two years. All other maintenance was standard required maintenance.
Electric wiring has always had intermittent problems due to dirty cable connections. The radio has been the worst offender and is presently not working, Since I prefer to listen to the engine, I haven't fixed it. The airbag warning light is also flashing, and will have to be repaired if you have state inspections (which we don't for older cars).
