Car description

Vintage Motorcars is proud to present this extremely well-preserved, low-mile, original 1988 Mazda RX7 Convertible.

This car has been meticulously maintained over the course of just over 51,000 miles, and has been religiously removed from the road between November 1st and May 1st every year. Spending its winters in a climate-controlled garage under a protective cover; this Mazda has been pampered and loved.

The engine is the legendary Felix Wankel 1.3 liter 13B twin rotary that makes 146 BHP @ 6,500RPM. Showing just over 51,000 miles; this original rotary motor has a ton of life left, and is very peppy!

The original 5-speed manual transmission shifts perfectly, and really makes for a fun driving experience. Not all RX7's came with manual transmissions, so this one is more desirable.

Of course; the best part about this car is the rare Targa Top. You can run around with the top up, and A/C on; or you could remove the Targa Top to let a little wind in, or lastly you could take the whole top down and go full-out roadster! This is truly a unique feature to Mazda, and makes for a highly desirable example of an 80's sports car. The top is in excellent condition; free of rips, tears or holes. The rear glass is just that... glass! Not plastic that can fog over time, and also features a defogger.

The Arctic Silver Metallic (J5) exterior paint is in excellent condition with only minimal chips from the road. The exterior condition is exactly what you would expect from a 51,000 mile car. There are simply no surprises. Take a close look at the multitude of photos, and you will be able to clearly see the excellent condition of this car.

The Blue (FD6) leather interior is also in excellent shape. The driver's seat bolster shows a bit of wear (which is normal), but the leather is still intact, and not worn all the way through. All the gauges are clean and clear, and the dash is not cracked. All-in-all... the interior is in excellent shape.

This is a very well-cared for sports car that can be enjoyed for not a lot of money (compared to its competition). These low-mile, un-molested Mazdas are rapidly increasing in value, so now is your chance to jump on it before the prices soar!
