Car description |

I picked this 79'Mazda RX7 at an estate sale recently. It has sat in a workshop with several other vintage vehicles for about 12 years. It was last registered in 2005. I has been repainted but not for quite a while, way before 2005. The paint is in good shape. It has some spot rust places. None of the small spots goes through. They are pictured for the most part. The interior is in really good shape. Only the drivers side seat has that rip and a very small tear in the passenger seat on the side not the seat. The dash, doors insideand all of the console and headliner are in very good condition with no cracks or other blemishes. There is some dusty white stuff here and there but it wipes off very easily including the headliner. The carpet is darn good, no holes or even worn spots. Original floor matts. One is kinda cracking up some. The wheel wells have no rust the undercarriage has just about no rust (see pics). It looks like it was rustproofed about the same time as the paint job. The mileage reads 53k plus. This has always been an Ohio car and I am pretty sure either it was very well cared for and always garaged or this could be the original mileage. An old mechanic buddy of mine told me once that you could tell if a car had been flipped by the brake peddle. This one has only a little wear on it, no flat spots. Same with the gas peddle. The parking brakes work and the peddle works a little (very little).
My mechanic went over it some andthe engine turns over. It has compression. The points, plugs, distributor are all pretty yucky. When he got it there was no spark. He cleaned up the points a little and it got a tiny spark but would not start. There is a little gas in the tank but he said the tank won't need replaced, it looks fine. Just get that old gas out. Okay so that's about all I know about it. It tows fine, I took it to and from my mechanics place on a car dolly, nothing is locked up. Tires are not great but okay, one has a slow leak.Three of the wheels are in good to VG shape. One has a little rust.No smoking smell. Original jack and spare tire is like new.
I also bought an 87 ranger 4x4 from this estate that I'm keepin. It's just like this RX7, I put a little money in it and it rocks. This guy was a mechanic and all of his vehicles looked good. Well that's all I got.
I am home 3 or 4 days a week. I am pretty flexible for pickup. I don't mind if the car sits a while before the winner picks it up. Yes I can wait for you to pick it up but if it is longer you got to let me know. Paypal $400 deposit at time of sale. Remainder within 7 days. Cool?
Please ask any questions before bidding
I can delivery this car on my dolly for a buck a mile round trip. So 100 miles, 200 bucks.
No returns. Again what you see is what you get.

One additional noteabout the paint on this vehicle. I do not see any signs of body work on this. I have looked it over closely and I do not see any putty work at all. As I said above none of the rust goes through or is even close to going through. Whoever painted it did a really good job masking it off too. The spots where it was not taped are blended in really well.
