--1990 (NA) Mazda Miata MX-5--White--B package--5-speed--no hard-top--no A/C
Car history:
1990: The first owner purchased the car on 4/30/1990 and for the next 25 years kept the car garaged and under a car cover when not in use. The car was driving an average of 500 miles per year, and according to the original owner, was never driven in the rain.
2015: The original owner sold the car with 15,300 miles to a boutique car dealer in Maine. The car was completely original (including original tires), flawless, and museum-condition. The dealer drove the car 200 miles from the seller's home to his dealership
2016: I purchased the car from the dealer with 15,500 miles on the odometer.
When I purchased the car I had all fluids changed and replaced the original tires (I have kept the originals) with new BF Goodrich Super Sports g-Force tires.
I have kept the car in my climate-controlled since I took ownership.
In the 18 months I've owned this car, I have driven it approx. 3,800 miles, and only in good weather and on dry roads.
During this time, I have:
--replaced the battery (because of age)
--replaced the spark plugs
--replaced the spark plug wires
--cleaned thethrottle bore
--installed a folding (and easily removed) front license plate holder which did not necessitate drilling into the front fascia.
--purchased new and matching floor mats to preserve the original mats.
--addressed and rectified and removed any and all dash or interior rattles, common to NA's.
Body: there are 2 small nicks on the paint (see pictures) that may seem significant in the pictures, but in reality would likely never be noticed by anyone unless they were pointed out. Aside from these 2 tiny pinhead nicks (one one the driver's headlight cover, one on the drivers front fender), the exterior is otherwise flawless and original as shown in the pictures. The paint luster is indistinguishable from the day the car was delivered to the Mazda dealership 27 years ago.
Interior: the interior shows almost no wear, and is in near-flawless condition. The driver's seat bolster shows almost no wear, and there are no tears or scratches in the interior. Aside from some scuffs on the driver's door kick-board from getting in and out of the car, the interior is in the same condition as new.
Roof: the original roof is flawless, and the rear window is clear and almost indistinguishable from new.
Wheels: flawless.
Mechanical: the car needs nothing and drives and runs perfect.
Rust: none.
Accidents: none.
I have had the car professionally detailed twice, and will have it done again on Wed., 6/28/17 if the car has not been sold by then.
I have treated all pliable rubber strips (window, trunk and hood trim, etc.) with Gummi Pflege (google it) and treated the soft top with Ragg Topp.
This is an SNC (short-nose crank) engine, and I have chosen not to replace the original timing belt.
The only thing not original on the car are the tires, battery, front license plate holder, plugs, and plug wires.
All original keys, owners manual and packet, original Miata poster, and window sticker included.
Of all of the cars I have owned over the past 40 years, this car is the most pleasurable car I have ever driven. If not for my health and the inability to continue to drive and care for this car, I would not sell it - ever. Aside from the joy of owning and driving this car, it's also one of the nicest NA Miatas in the country, regardless of year or mileage

I purchased the car in January of 2016. The title took almost 4 months to clear DMV because they misplaced the documents. I have owned the car approx. 18 months.
