Just upgraded to a 2010 Miata, so I have to let "Desiree" go. She's been good to me, and I've been good to her...
Looks great. Sounds great. Runs great. Clutch was replaced at 94K. Replaced the top a couple of years ago; back window is glass (and zippers down). Has a Cobalt sport muffler, which makes it sound powerful without being overly loud.
When I purchased the car from its original owner in 2003, it had less than 22,000 miles on it. The woman I acquired it from bought it new, but got married and had two kids shortly thereafter, so the car wasn't used all that much.
During my ownership, the car has always been garage-kept and never driven in the winter (I've got a Jeep Wrangler for that). All maintenance on the vehicle has been done by Classic Imports of New Buffalo, Mich., or someone they recommended.
A truly fun ride with plenty of miles left in her.
(I'm thinking of calling the new one "Lolita.")
