Car description |

I apologize to everyone that had bid on or was following the first auction for this car. I had a zero feedback bidder slip through and then want to back out like a big baby so I am restarting bidding and will try to be more diligent. Anyone with less than ten positive feedback needs to email me before bidding or your bid may be cancelled. Just trying to keep the auction running smoothly for all the adults in the audience and I appreciate your help and patience.
No reserve price and starting at one cent - is that crazy awesome or what? Time to get your MIATA on!!
Miata is available for inspection prior to end of auction in Bartlesville, OK. Would love to show it to prospective bidders. If you have questions, please ask before bidding.
156,000 miles
New timing belt and water pump at 131,000 miles
Original paint and rust-free
1.6L four cylinder engine, 5-speed manual transmission, manual steering
Big-nosed crank
Factory alloy rims with good tires - alignment November 2016
AC works, heater works
SCCA approved Boss Frog Double Hoop roll bar
Corbeau A4 racing seats
G-Force four point seat belts
Momo steering (with horn thumb buttons, not laser cannons) -- no air bag
Last eleven years: one owner and always garaged
Beautiful, snug Robbins glass window convertible top
Runs, drives, stops great. Smooth idle. Everything works. Great fun to drive. It's like a classic British roadster with Japanese reliability.
The Miata provides a great driving experience thanks to it's four wheel independent suspension, near perfect weight distribution, light weight, and rigid body.
Engine and suspension are stock. No weird after market hack jobs. No after-market rims with incorrect offset throwing the handling off.
Non-stock items include:
bolt-on stiffener bars front and back
a serious, functional roll bar (not a crappy chrome "style" bar)
really good, sliding Corbeau seats attached to the factory mount points
four point seat belts
awesome stainless steel side mirrors (attached to factory mounting points) instead of the stock "barn door" mirrors
after-market front turn signals with air inlets
after-market rear tail lights
the stock retractable headlight covers have been custom louvered and painted flat black for that extra touch of awesomeness
Radio is an old-school Blaupunkt Brisbane SD48 matched to Blaupunkt speakers. The radio has a slot for 2gig SD cards instead of a CD player. Load up a few cards with 80's/90's hits and you're ready for a weekend roadtrip.
Included in the sale:
factory vinyl boot that covers and protects the convertible top when it's retracted
original 1991 owner's manual
maintenance log, folder full of receipts, a few miscellaneous spare parts
Also included are three awesome maintenance/performance books that have been put into individual plastic sheet holders in three ring binders -- protects the pages while working on the car. Covers everything from oil changes to performance upgrades, to engine rebuilds.
Some nicks, dings, rock chips - please see pictures. Interior good shape, Corbeau seats had covers on since new, removed for pics. Has gouge on rear bumper, drivers side. As best as I can tell, it's all original paint and the car has never had any body work.
New timing belt, water pump at 131,000 miles. Lots of other stuff over the years as needed. Maintenance log and a folder full of receipts.
Engine has Big-nosed crank. If you're looking at early Miatas, you want this. Short-nosed cranks had some problems. You can verify which kind is in a Miata by the last six of the VIN (JM1NA3514M1238780).

Some basic housekeeping stuff:
- The Miata won't leave here till it's paid for. If the balance is paid by something other than cash, that means after my bank says the funds have cleared - not just deposited. If you're picking up in person and paying cash, we can do that at my bank during business hours or our local police station. A cashier's check from your bank will be acceptable, but will have to be verified (bank says they usually can verify in a few minutes) by my bank before I release the Miata. Money orders and postal orders generally take several days to clear so if you insist on those, plan accordingly.
- Have fun, bid early and bid often. Let's get you a crazy fun Miata! If you have any questions please ask.
