Car description

I bought this truck in the summer of 2015. When I got the truck, it had 99,xxx miles. When I registered the truck, it had 100,002 miles. Today the truck has 107,832. I still might drive the truck before it is sold so that mileage may increase by a small amount.

I bought the truck from a gentleman in Arizona. He got it from the estate of the original owner and resold it immediately. So, pretty much, I am the second owner. The truck spent its entire life in Arizona until coming to me in Malibu (via trailer). The woman that originally owned the truck kept meticulous records of everything. And I mean everything. She even recorded every single time she got gas and she calculated her gas mileage. Every single thing that was ever done to this truck has been documented. All those records are included with the sale of the truck.

It looks like the original owner got the camper shell with the purchase of the truck and it has been on the truck its entire life except one time when I removed the shell in order to drive my motorcycle to my friend’s house. You can see in the picture (taken from the back) that the rubber boot that seals the shell to the truck has over time rubbed some of the paint from around the rear window (of course this cannot be seen unless the shell is removed).

The first 16 pictures of the truck seen in this listing were taken yesterday. The truck has not been washed for the photos and therefore you can bet that it can show much better than in these pictures. It is supposed to rain all week and I didn’t want to wash the truck on the one sunny day only to have it be wasted on the coming storms. Some of the older random pictures were taken by me sometime during the last year and a half. All pictures are of THIS truck.

This truck is amazing for its age which is coming up on 30 years old. This truck belongs in a Mazda museum. Up until I got the truck, it was garage kept. I thought I could garage the truck which is why I bought a vehicle this clean. But I can’t garage this truck and I no longer feel right about leaving it outside in the elements since I only drive the truck once every couple of weeks to go surfing.

On the interior, it is so clean for its age. The dash matt has been on its whole life and there are no cracks on the dash. The original receipt is included for the dash matt from ’89. Why not? LOL!

There is one rip on the side of the driver’s seat which you can see in the pictures.

The tires have a ton of tread. I got new brakes on the truck nine months ago (at 104,247 miles). When I bought the truck, I did some minor things to get the truck 100%. A new light bulb in the cab, I got a new windshield (which was cracked when I got the truck), I replaced the fuel sending unit with an OEM Mazda unit and now the gas gauge works great (it didn’t work when I got the truck), and also I also replaced the cap and spark plug wires.

I have not attempted to operate the aftermarket cruise control. I never really understood cruise control on a stick shift. But there is the original manual for the cruise control.

As far as I can tell, the paint is original and I don’t see any signs of the truck having ever been in an accident.

Original Window Sticker is included.

Also, the aftermarket stereo is equipped with an auxiliary jack so you can play your iPhone or mobile device through the truck's stereo. And the original manual is also included. Of course it is!

Right now there are zero leaks of any kind.

When I received the truck, it had just been detailed by the seller and even the motor looked new.

The slave cylinder for the clutch just got changed. The slave cylinder had a tiny leak and the part was $12.54. You will find that almost every part for this truck is incredibly inexpensive.

The air conditioning worked all summer in 2015. It blew really, really cold. At the start of the summer of 2016, it was not blowing as cold. It has most likely run out of refrigerant. It takes R12 and it is not easy in California to find someone that will refill the system with R12. Currently, it is the only thing on the truck that does not work to my liking.

If you have any questions or you want to see the truck, please just call or text me 805-797-5573. If you want the truck shipped, I will be happy to work with your shipper.

Buyer must make at least a $250 deposit within 48 hours of auction ending. Balance must be paid in cash or cashier's check. Any checks will need to clear before pickup of the truck. If you want to pay the balance with PayPal, you will need to cover those fees and make those arrangements before paying so those funds have time to clear before pickup.

Thanks for looking.
