Car description |

Beautiful cosmetic and excellent mechanical condition. There are no dings and only a few tiny scratches that you have to look pretty hard to find. I have not seen another FD in this condition in many years. Comes with the original rims (which are in very good condition)as well as the aftermarket ones pictured on the car. Many upgrades as well as all service work has been performed by an RX7 specialist (Lowe's Performance)in Sarasota Florida. SOME of these include:Apexi Power FC ECU with Commander (* with Boost Controller which is brand-new still in box *)Cold air IntakeBoenz High Flow Stainless Catalytic Converter (* BRAND NEW - still in box*)Tokico 5-way adjustable StrutsRacing Beat Stainless Cat-Back exhaustPetit Billet Blow of ValveUpgraded fuel pumpUpgraded InjectorsDrilled Brake RotorsEBC Brake PadsUpgraded Aluminum RadiatorUpgraded toe linksElfini Y-PipeGreddy Stock-mount IntercoolerPillar-Mount Gauges - Boost Gauge and Air-Fuel GaugeAlpine CD-ReceiverInfinity Kappa SpeakersStaggered Tires and wheels* the new in box parts can be left in the box or installed for you for an additional $250Also comes with any original parts which have been upgraded with the exception of the exhaust system which was not worth keeping. My car is complete with all the rare parts that go missing on so many FD's like the driver's door storage lid, the spare wheel, the jack and tools etc. This car is as nice as they get!
The R2 modelis the most performance-focused versionand also the mostrare of theRx-7 models. In1994 Silver stone (this color) was the most rare.Only 83 produced! (395 R2's total in 94')
The R2 models are aimed at the weekend road racers. (To my knowledgeMY car has never been raced) R stands for "race", and that's what you get, a race-ready Rx7.
Tire and Suspension upgrades--firmer Bilstein shocks, front strut brace (with cool "Rx7" logo--which everyone wants), Z-rated Expedia S-07 or P-Zero (Touring/PEP/Base models got V-rated tires only).
Reliability aids--extra oil cooler, dedicated front brake ducts to keep the pads/rotors cool,
Aerodynamic aids--front air damn and rear spoiler to aid in high speed stability (the rear spoiler works very well through 160 mph sweepers!)
Equipment deletions for weight savings--cruise, sunroof, Bose Acoustiwave subwoofer, fog lamps, leather seats, CD player. The deletions yield an R1/R2 that weighs 2750 lbs, 50 lbs less than the Touring/PEP models.
It's not about cosmetics with the R1/R2, although they do look extra aggressive with the front and rear spoilers.....the car is setup that way for a reason!
1994 RX-7'shave significant improvements when compared to 1993. The following changes were made:
Instrument cluster is cleaner, not having multiple lines between numbers.
Different dash material which is higher quality and won't peel like the painted panels in 1993!
2 additional braces under the rear subframe designed to minimize rear subframe flex under load and minimize axle hop!
Dual airbags!
