1952 Maserati A6G 2000 1 0f 9 Pinin Farina 2 litre Coupes built between 1950 and 1952
This Fabulous and Rare early Maserati comes from a large collection of the some of the finest Maserati's ever made.
It was in the process of a meticulous concours restoration when work was stopped to concentrate on completing other vehicles in the collection.
It was built in 1951 but first sold in 1952.Per early records of the car it was originally black. The interior was black with black and copper/pumpkin color.See photos of the dash that was sanded carefully to expose the original colors. The copper/orange color was digitally matched and the glove box lid was painted to get an idea of what it will look like when completed, see photo.
The metal work has all been completed and all body panels fit excellent. The body is ready for final prep and paint.
The frame and undercarriage is already painted like when new in semi gloss black.
All drilled holes for interior and exterior trim and fittings were filled and re tapped for precise fitting of the trim. All the interior trim pieces and all the aluminum pieces for the door jams, trunk, and under hood pieces have all been renewed and fitted to the car for perfect fit.
The interior is nice but will need to be made new for shows. All the little pieces are there including screws that are in bags and marked. All the glass is good with no chips, cracks or delamination.
All the Chrome is done to Pebble Beach quality except the front bumper and front bumper over riders. They have been done and are in polished copper and ready for the final chrome to be applied.
The wiring harness is new with all the correct fittings and eyelets. The gauges are restored.
The original transmission is fully rebuilt. The engine has no numbers stamped on it.It is complete with the carbs, exhaust manifold, correct oil pan and valve cover.Items needed to finish the car;Remove the brakes and suspension, renew, detail and reinstall.Do the prep work on body and paintrenew all interior as when new.Have engine rebuilt and install (motor is complete with correct oil pan and valve cover)install all the chrome.Install glass
