1961 Maserati 3500 GT, Restoration Project, mostly done - Pebble Beach Quality

1961 Maserati 3500GT for sale.I bought this car in 1985. The car was very clean at the time. The car sat in a dry warehouse untilabout 2000, hen we started a complete every nut and bolt show quality restoration on it.The car was completely disassembled. The body and frame were stripped to bare aluminum. All floors were replaced exactly as per factory original, nlcuding the trunk floors. The alloy body was repaired to perfection, etal prepped.Just the metal & bodywork took 2 years alone as they were repaired to perfection. The car was painted using all Glasurit materials, othing else was put on it. The black paint is Pebble Beach show winning quality. The car is extremely straight. Factory shop & parts manuals are included, s well as the owner's guide.The engine was fully rebuilt by Hollywood Machine of Pasadena, A, y an expert Maserati machinist, ith decades of Maserati experience. During the rebuild all moving parts were either replaced or restored; new forged pistons, eground cams, ll new bearings, rank polished & hardened, otating assembly balanced, ater pump, il pumps, iming components, alves, alve guides, alve springs, nbsp;etc. The engine block was walnut shell blasted. The cylinder head & cam covers were powdercoated with wrinkle black & Maserati letters were end milled as per original. The Webers have been rebuilt & plated as per original, orrect air cleaner assmebly. All new ignition components such as the distributor cap, oints, ondensers, lug wires, lug caps, new stainless steel plug wire tube, tc. Correct distributor. New clutch. The 5-speed transmission is fully rebuilt. Exhaust manifolds have been media blasted & graphite coated.A new correct 5-speed shift knob is included A mint condition fully restored correct wood steering wheel with new correct horn button. All instruments are redone. Correct radio. The car comes with a brand new red leather interior - new seats, ash etc etc. Wilton wool carpets, ll new.All chrome has been redone. All hardware has been cad plated. All black components have been powder coated. The suspension is apart but we have a brand new full suspension and steering rebuild kit, ll new tie rod ends, all joints etc. New data tags. Correct headlight beams. Radiator is redone. New correct thermostat. Heater core is redone. Rear springs were powdercoated and come with new correct plastic separators. Rear axle fully rebuilt and detailed - new bearings, eals, ainted etc. A new gas tank was made for the car of aluminum, xact duplicate of the original, xtremely nice - powder coated and ready to install with new sending unit. We have a very long list of new parts for the car that are included. Some small restoration items will be needed still, uch as some rubber weatherstrip etc.All glass is included, one are broken.All expensive aspects of the restoration have been done. Everything has been done to perfection. The cylinder head & valve covers have the correct wrinkle black powder coating with the Maserati letters machined clear. New stainless steel exhaust system. Correct restored exhaust manifolds. This is a very good car for a person looking to complete a show quality car.
