Sellingdue to non-responsive non-paying highest bidder. TheLotusM100 Elan was launched in August 1989, reviving the Elan nameplate after 14 years. A two-seater convertible sports car with front-wheel drive, designed in-house by Lotus, it featured an engine andmanual transmissionsupplied byIsuzu,and was built with the development and testing resources ofGeneral Motors.The M100 Elan used a 1,588 cc doubleoverhead camshaft(DOHC) I4 16-valve engine, sourced from theIsuzu Geminiand extensively modified by Lotus (a third gener ation of this engine was later used in theIsuzu Impulse), which produced 162hp (121kW). 0–60mph acceleration time was measured byAutocarandMotormagazine at 6.5 seconds, and a top speed of 137mph (220km/h) was recorded.The M100 Elan's cornering performance was undeniable (on release the Elan was described byAutocarmagazine as "the quickest point to point car available").
The car is mechanically sound. All fluids are up to date. It starts, runs and drives well. Engine and transmission are great. Brakes, suspension are good. The fiberglass body is excellent. Paint is brand new. Interior is in great condition for its age. Seats, door panels, carpets, dash are in great condition for theirage. Driver seat has two stitches that are open. Can be easily repaired. The rubber seals are old. Soft top is great. Closes and opens properly. Original wheels and tires are mint. One wheel has scratches. All major electrical parts and gauges work.Clean title
