1980 LOTUS ECLAT S2 2. 2 IMPORTED INTO USA BY US AIR FORCE WITH RETURNING AIRMAN. WAS USED AS A DAILY DRIVER BY THE AIRMAN AND SHIPPED HOME AT END OF DUTY. RIGHT HAND DRIVE. VERY RARE CAR AS LOTUS ONLY BUILT 223 COPIES OF THE ECLAT S2 2. 2. PRODUCTION ENDED IN 1982 This car is a rare S2 2. 2 ltr with dual delarato carbs and a Getrag 5 speed box that came from the factory as a stock item. Only 223 copys of this model ever built. Same transmission as used in BMW's of the same era. Lotus had finally admitted that the lotus 5 speed gear box was never going to work well and could never really be fixed. Interior will need a full restoration. Body in very good condition. Engine ran when parked and we have not tried to start it. Has been in indoor dry storage and on jack stands since 6/2012.
