This is a brand new Caterham DeDion Roadsport chassis kit. The chassis kit includes everything but an engine and transmission. The kit is set up for a Ford Sigma 1600 TiVCT engine and a Ford Sierra 5 speed/Caterham 6 speed and includes mounts, exhaust, bellhousing, oil pan and other miscellaneous parts for that installation. The builder could easily install a wide variety of other engine/transmission combinations including Ford Duratec, Lotus/Ford twin cam, Cosworth BD series or do a completely custom install. This kit has full paint in Caterham's version of British Racing Green, full weather equipment, and a carbon-fiber dash upgrade. This kit has been assembled only up to the roller stage for ease of shipping. You can read more about the specs on the Caterham website. Current US pricing on this kit is somewhere in the mid 40s, but this kit was imported to the US before the huge price increase in 2014, and my reserve is more than $10k under current pricing. I was appointed US distributor for Caterham by the Nearn family in early 2000 and was a US dealer before that. I know the cars well, having sold about 350 and built many of those. I stepped down from the distributorship in 2013 when the Malaysian group under Tony Fernandes purchased Caterham and wanted to increase sales- something I didn't have the time to do. The subsequent distributor raised US prices dramatically, was unable to sell many kits and ultimatelyfailed. This kit and another (a CSR Roadsport) have been in storage since I received them in mid 2014 and are in new condition. The kit has an Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO) from the Caterham factory. I can also supply many other options out of parts stock. If someone is interested in buying both kits and my extensive Caterham parts stock as a step toward becoming a Caterham dealer, I can supply a parts list and wholesale pricing for the package. I'd be happy to answer any questions at area code three zero three, followed by seven six five 02 four seven. Caterhams are fantastic cars and something every real gear head should experience at least once. I'm selling these because I am totally out of space- something has to go to make room for an incoming car.
