Your are bidding on a Lotus Esprit rolling chassis with a Lotus all-alloy 4 cylinder twin-cam turbo charged engine. The body of the car was removed, and the chassis was going to be used as the chassis for a custom high performance sports car. The project never got off the ground and the body was sold-off. Chassis has been in storage for 10 + years. It was last run about five years ago and it ran well, this car is scary fast but the radiatorwas leaking so it was taken off and sent in to be repaired, radiator couldn’t be repaired so it has been sitting ever since. Clutch and brake hydraulic reservoirs need to be replaced these have deteriorated, plastic simply broke down. This classic galvanizedchassis is the perfect platform for a custom sports car. There is no title. It was lost years ago, however if the car is restored a new title can be obtained. I attempted to get one but in California the vehicle has to be complete, doors, windscreen, lights, etc. to get a new title. D VIN search has no CA records, it appears to have been purged from the data system.
