Car description |
---|
I have owned this beautiful Elan Coupe for 34 years in which time I've added only 7000 miles to the odometer. It has always been kept in my humidity controlled garage with a dust cover.
It has been completely restored with:
Spyder space frame chassis and tubular front wishbones1700cc engine with original Weber cylinder head with dual 40DCOE carburetors(very torquey and accelerative!)Koni ShocksAluminum flywheel and bell housingStainless steel exhaust headerSuper StarterThermostatically controlled engine fan with manual override switchAll exterior and interior chrome trim pieces professionally replacedLeather English Moto-Lita steering wheelProfessionally reupholstered with genuine English Wilton wool carpet in elegant shade of maroon/redVredestein Sport tires
1967 is arguably the most attractive year for the Elan Coupe. It was the last year for the Weber cylinder head, 3-prong knock offs, oval taillights, classic toggle switches, and the rounded wheel arches. This is truly an exceptional car.
The Lotus is located on Oahu, Hawaii. The buyer is responsible for making shipping arrangements and paying for shipping. You will simply need to call or contact Matson on the web to make a booking for the shipment. The actual voyage takes 4 days; allow 3-4 days on each end for loading and unloading the ship. When I receive your cashiers check for the purchase price, I will sign off and deliver the title to you and deliver the car to the Honolulu Matson terminal for shipment to the West Coast port of your choice, Long Beach, Oakland, or Seattle. Matson Co. ships thousands of cars every week between HI and the US Mainland. The cars are driven on to the large ships and parked in warehouses below the main deck and are not exposed to the weather. I have purchased or sold 5 collector cars in the past 20 years and shipped them on Matson with no shipping damage whatsoever.
