Up for auction is a 1967 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. Car was built in Cal. Very nicely done. Burnt Orange exterior. with all badges removed (except Karmann on right side) Very nice custom tan interior. Has a built 1775 (i was told) engine with duel carbs. (Runs great. approx 90hp) Stock 4 speed trans. (Shifts great) New clutch. pressure plate. and throw out brg last yr. Car has been lowered 3-4" Runs out great. Everything works great on it. with the exception of the horn and the speedometer. The speedometer stopped working last fall just before i put it away for the winter. Odometer shows 67145? (with in about 20 miles). Judging by the condition of this car i beleave it to be accurate. but being is a 67 could have rolled over??. Before the speedometer quit it was noisy. I'm trying to describe this car to the best of my knowledge. There may be a chip or 2 (that i'm not aware of) but it's a very presentable car. that can be driven or shown with out worry. but remember it's a 48 yr old car. Have owned and enjoyed this Ghia for 4-5 yrs. Ready to move on to something different. Have clear title in hand. Non refundable $500 deposit required VIA paypal at end of auctionBalance due when picked up. I have the right to end this auction early as it is for sale locally too. On Jan-25-15 at 07:28:23 PST. seller added the following information:Morning. I didn't build the Ghia. So i don't know if there were any rust issues when it was built. Didn't put it on a hoist. just looked under it the best i could. Don't see any rust issues. (Even the battery area looks good). Didn't see any evidents of rocker repair either. Beings this was a Cal. car that makes sence . I think the car was green at one time as there's one spot under the engine compartment hood where i see a little green. Like i said in the post. i've had it 4-5 yrs. So not sure when it was painted. Paint in my book is very nice. Interior is very nice custom tweed material. Also has cool head liner design similar to the design on the door panels.
