Originally titled as a 1972. There was a 9 month dock strike that delayed delivery from England to the original owner in NY.
When I titled the car in North Carolina the inspectors her insisted on calling it a 1971 based on the research that they did.
This is a one owner car from 1972 to 2012. In 2012 it was sold to a collector in NYC who had it for one year before I bought it. The second owner had the car painted. Originally all of these cars were white.
50,000 original miles.
The car is all original except for the Weber carburetors that replaced the original Solex carbs which is a big improvement.
This car has been driven weekly.
All lights, lectric windows, urn signals, tc work great.
This car is a blast to drive. There is nothing that even comes close to how this car drives. The light weight and excellent power make it truly unique.
The original engine starts right up and runs very smooth. The Renault engine is very reliable and easily maintained. Parts are readily available
The transmission shifts very well.
I am 6' 3" and I fit can fit into the car with no problem. The seats are very comfortable.
Included with sale is another engine with 10,000 miles on it.
Not included but also for sale is an 807 Cross flow engine and 5 speed transmission. The engine was just recently overhauled by Historic Racecars LLC in Woodstock Ill.
This is a rare opportunity to buy a very collectible, rivable classic.
Amazingly fun and fast. It feels like you are getting into a race car as you slide in behind the wheel.
Low slung and fun.
I have enjoyed the car while I owned it but now have my eye on something else and want this to go to someone who will enjoy it and drive it.
