Car description

1948 Lincoln Convertible. I do not know what exact model this would technically be. Please do your research with the provided Vin number. This car is a very solid project. I have been over every inch of the car and it still has its original paint with no signs of any previous body work. There is a oil change sticker in the door jamb from 1953. Exterior & Body & Frame- Amazingly still has Original paint. Floor pans have rust (see pictures). Body has no rot and is very solid. It does have various dings. dents scratches and surface rust from exposed metal where paint has wore off. Frame is completely solid with no rot. Engine & Trans- This car has its complete original drivetrain. The flathead v12 cranks but will not start. It is not getting spark. All of the factory wiring is neat and in place. it appears nothing has been messed with on this car. all the stock engine parts such as air cleaner seem to be in order. The clutch feels good and the car shifts through all the gears. Interior- I have the seat frames and some other interior pieces. The interior will need completely redone as it had deteriorated badly. I removed the interior and all the pieces will go with the car. The convertible top appears to have all of its components. but will need gone through completely. Misc - The fuel lines. brake lines and all the wiring appears to be in excellent untouched condition. I do not know the true mileage of the car. Title- This car was in a barn since the 70s. The previous owner never received a title for this car and now both parties have passed away. This car will be sold with a bill of sale only. I have researched the complete history of this car and will consider getting a title and trying to relist if it does not sell. It is a bit of a headache to get a title if you live in a state that requires one for this old of a car. You can register the car in Vermont since you are not required to live in the state to register and they do not require titles on older cars. Then use that registration to acquire a title. Which I had planned to do. You would need to pay tax in Vermont and then again in your state by doing this. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to set up a time to see the car. Also if you would like pictures or better pictures of a particular area please ask and I will take and email them to you.
