Car description

For sale is a real survivor. complete running. driving 1958 Lincoln Continental. This car was purchased in White Plains New York by a Doctor upon his passing it left to a girlfriend who would not drive the car. There were less than 2700 made in the 2 door this year it was known for its excessive styling. The fenders match the front bumper conture. You rarely see these in the 2 door version check the local car shows. Be the person to own one. I put this car back together and it is all there. The brakes were updated to a dual master cylinder as the old treadle vac was unreliable and at about 5500 lbs you don't want to lose your brakes. The treadle vac is in the trunk and no modifications were made to the existing lines so if you want to rebuild it and put it on it would be a simple process. Needs a headliner it is discolored and has two tears in it the dash pads need to be recovered. The mufflers need replacing someday. I like the sound. It is a hot rod lincoln it has the 430 with dual exhaust. It runs and drives with a little work and time it could be made into a show winner. Let me not bore you with the facts about the style and pedigree of this car. I have no sentimental attachment to the car other than it is beautiful to look at and anywhere it goes it turns head and people seem to love the look and style of it. It has power windows but no A/C. it was an option that the original owner did not get. It has a breezeway window. It came stock with an AM radio. the town and cuntry radio has seek and scan via a button on the floor. Everyone thinks it is a second headlight dimmer. It is about 18'10" long and 82" wide and as previously stated is about 5500 lbs. I had it at a car show and a couple came by the wife commenting that she knew why so many kids were conceived in the back seat of cars refering to the room. There are 5 cigarette lighters and ashtrays. I can answer questions and have many pictures that I can send to you. If you are looking at this you know how beautiful these cars are. The State of CT does not issue titles on vehicles built prior to 1981. Unless you ask for a special exception. surety bond etc. Well I did all that and the car does have a paper title and can go anywhere it is currently licensed and registered.
