Car description |

I am selling my grandfather's 1977 Lincoln Continental Mark V Cartier. It has never seen one hint of salt. The underside of this car is clean as can be. The paint is in good condition for being 43 years old. He bought it in approximately 1982 from his friend who had cancer. His friend was the original owner. He ordered this limited production Lincoln with a big block 460. If one did not special order the 460, it came with a 400. The blue paint with the two tone leather interior sets this car apart from others I've seen and make it very rare. Please copy and paste this link for more information on this limited model: http://automotivemileposts.com/mark51977featurecar.html ...I have also included a screen shot of this linked article but I'm not sure if it will enlarge enough to be legible. Everything works on this car except for the AC. There is a hole in the lines somewhere and i never had it fixed. Even the large Cartier clock still keeps perfect time.
I have had this car for about 15 years since my grandfather died. The minor maintenance i do myself and anything larger has been done by the original mechanic who began maintenance on it in the later 70's!! It had 27,000 on it when he died and it now has 37,000. That is about 6 or 700 miles a year in my ownership. Enough to enjoy it a bit and keep it running right. The car has sat most of this year and the last few years my interest is dwindling. I keep it indoors and i pay to have it stored in the winter. For these reasons, i am selling it. I do not need the money and I'm not excited about selling my grandfather's car but the last few years have convinced me that it is time to find it a good home.
This car turns heads everywhere i go. Whether male or female, young or old, the unique color and shape gets a lot of admiration.
I would be happy to talk. If you send me an ebay email, we can talk or exchange numbers.
