GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1948 Lincoln Continental for your consideration. This Lincoln is not powered by the original flathead V12 but it was professionally swapped by Wade R Smith with a 1954 Cadillac V8 motor. This motor retained air conditioning and the wonderful driving experience while updating the drivetrain with a strong American V8. The motor turns over a couple of times before firing right up. The 3 on the tree manual transmission is strong as well. L
The exterior of this Continental is finished in Seafoam Green. The exterior paint has many places of paint chipping and fading, but this Continental does have a good body that is ripe for restoration. Inside the vehicle is a tired interior which like the exterior is ready for refreshing. This example features working power windows which is surprising for a car that is over 70 years old.
This first-generation Continental was designed for luxury and handmade for the upper class. As you can see, this particular example is a diamond in the rough and has plenty of room for investment and if done right you could have a healthy return. As you can see it needs restoration but is still very attractive in its condition for its rarity. Please call or email with any questions or for additional information.
