GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this one owner, special edition 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V for your consideration. Starting in 1979, Lincoln discontinued the production of the 460ci V8 which had been an option powering the Mark series since 1969. With this removal, the Mark V became powered only by the 400ci V8 which was introduced just two years earlier in 1977. Mated to the engine is a strong automatic transmission which sends power to the rear wheels.
Lincoln branded the Mark V as the last of the Big Cars. This car was their farewell to the large, plush, and luxury coupes and sedans that had dominated the American automotive landscape for decades prior. To celebrate their finale, Lincoln contracted famous fashion designers to influence the color choices. There were four designers chosen, all with different stylistic choices. Offered here is a Givenchy Special Edition. These Givenchy Mark V's were the only ones to come in the Midnight Blue Moondust Metallic exterior. This example was optioned with the Midnight Blue Valino Grain Landau Vinyl roof to be paired with the paint.
Though the exterior is in great condition, the interior is where this automobile becomes special. This example is just one of 862 to be optioned with the Midnight Blue Luxury Sew Group Style leather interior. Not only is the interior special, but it is also extremely comfortable and loaded with features. Lincoln equipped the Mark V with air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, and cruise control all to make the driving experience as comfortable as possible. This is a #3 matching car and is in survivor condition. Now is your chance to own the last of the Big Cars! Please call or email today with any questions or for additional information.
