I purchased this fine Lincoln Zephyr V-12 Streamlined Sedan from James Hetfield, famous lead singer for Metallica. Hetfield is also very well known for his love of classic Lincoln Zephyr V-12s as he owns several famous Zephyr based Custom Cars and hot rods. He even markets a line of custom Sun Glasses called "Zephyr".
This Zephyr was in Las Vegas when I bought it and it does not appear to have had any rust ever. The paint appears to be the original soft grey, and the interior has been re-done in a medium blue cloth with the dashboard a dark blue. The original V-12 engine runs very well and is quiet and smooth. I've driven the Zephyr often and it always runs cool and never over heats. It also has a very rare original accessory, a hot-air heater.
Now the Minus stuff: There is a small scrape in the paint on the left front fender (photo #1), The rim of the steering wheel is badly cracked and needs to be re-cast. (I will include a used steering wheel as a good core) (photo #5). The paint on the lower trunk lid is lifting off the metal and the trunk lid needs to be re-painted.
The Zephyr is located at our home in southwest Virginia and can be viewed by appointment.
