1961 Lincoln Continental Sedan
Collector Owned and enjoyed. Just need to downsize my collection a little. The car is finished in the stunningly and exceedingly rare, when new, special order color of Honey Beige with Rose Larkspur Cloth/ Leather interior. Documented Factory options are: Factory Air Conditioning, the power front bench seat, and Factory Tinted Glass. This is an incredibly well preserved and maintained example. Recent services and update include: a full Waldron Exhaust, Rebuilt Transmission, comprehensive servicing, and a full bare metal repaint to high standards. The interior is very clean and well presented. The seats were rebuilt and reupholstered by the previous owner with the very exceedingly rare and hard to find Larkspur fabric inserts. The bolsters were recovered in with high grade synthetic leather. The dash is free of any major blemishes. The rear window trim, and headliner "hockey sticks" have been re-plated in Concours quality Triple Chrome. All of the other brightwork on the car is original and still shows well.
The Lincoln comes with original window sticker, and previous paperwork, a known history of all former owners back to new. The last three owners have been Continental collectors. The 1961 Continentals sedans and convertibles were a one year only design with the dual upper and lower front grill that really made an elegant and iconic look. Of course the rear hinged coach doors added the prestige of making an entrance or egress from the roomy back seat. The car runs very smooth, and is like floating on a cloud to drive. This is not a restored car, but a very well preserved and sympathetically maintained example. It is corrosion free and during the painting of the car, no previous issues were discovered or corrected. There will be minor blemishes from age and use. This Lincoln is ready to enjoy and drive. It makes a statement and people ask to take pictures of it constantly.
The car is garaged in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Appointments to inspect the car will be gladly made. Inspections are highly preferred. They must be completed by the close of the auction. A nonrefundable deposit is required within 24 hours of the successful winning of the auction. The balance is due within 5 days, by way of a bank wire transfer. Neither the car nor the title will be released until the car is paid for and funds have cleared my accountant. Please send inquiries with any questions.
