1956 LINCOLN PREMIERE 2 DOOR HARDTOP

For sale is my 1956 Lincoln Premiere 2 door hard top that is equipped with factory air conditioning. I am the second owner having purchased the car from the family of the original owner and I have owned this fine automobile for over 13 years. It was built at the Wayne assembly plant in Wayne, Indiana, and was one of 19,618 Premiere coupes made in 1956.The color is Summit Green with a Starmist white top.
Features include factory air, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power seat, and power antenna. The car is stock with no modifications. The engine bay is original. The paint had been redone and the seats have been refreshed using marine grade off-white vinyl. Looks and feels like leather. The trunk liner has been redone with the closest thing to the original burtex at a cost of $800. All four power windows work, power seat works, power antenna works, town and country radio works, all four interior courtesy lights work, trunk light works, glove box light works, fuel gauge and original temperature gauge work but the temp gauge has been bypassed with the SW gauge for more accurate readings. Not working at this time:factory AC is all there and had worked but is not functioning now, though the blowers still function sending breezes from the vents in the headliner. New owner may choose to install Vintage air or another modern system. The speedo and the clock are not functioning.
This Lincoln is a driver to be enjoyed and driven. It shows beautifully and turns many heads, but it is not a show car. It has been maintained and records are included along with the original owners manual. The water pump was replaced about 2 years ago, and the radiator recored and refurbished.Significant bodywork and 4 coats of urethane were done in November of 2015 by a superb professional body man. The body needs nothing.
