Car description |

Up for sale is a 1969 Lincoln Mark III with only 14.300 original miles.
Yes - original miles!!I bought the Lincoln in a package with a few other cars out of a collection from a 73 year old man.
It even came with the original window sticker.
The car is pretty much all original. The original factory paint is still shiny and glossy since it was stored indoors all the years. All original decals, paint stamps, nice clean interior and headliner. No cracks in the leather seats or dash pad. All the glass, the chrome and the vinyl top - everything is in mint condition.
The 73 year old guy bought the Lincoln in the late 70s from the original owner, a rich Lady who bought it new back in the days but only drove it a few miles every year.
Being a car collector, he only drove it a few miles too before he stored it indoors for years.
I have videos from when i bought it.It was sitting all the years stored in his shop in dry Central California. The former owner is still alive and I can introduce the new owner to him to verify the story, if you like.
There is no rust to be found! The floorpans, trunk and engine compartment are in like new condition. The car is very, very straight, only 2 tiny little dents (check the Pictures). No paint touch ups, no overspray - nothing.
It is like a time capsule.
You will never find a clean, straight and rustfree Lincoln like this again.
After sitting for so long, i replaced the water pump (it was leaking), the thermostat housing and spark plugs. It got a fresh oil change too......The Lincoln runs like a charm and drives great. It actually floats more than it drives... :-)Brakes, steering, suspension - just perfect.
The only thing I would replace before driving it to NY are the tires. They look brand new and have maybe 500 miles on them but are a little square from sitting.Definitely good enough for the local car shows though!

When I bought the car it had a Grant aftermarket steering wheel installed. The reason being, that the old man was pretty corpulent and felt more comfortable with the smaller wheel. He told me though, that he still has the original steering wheel in storage and would have it installed before the pickup. When I got it, the wheel in the pictures was on it.I never thought of it as not being original to the car but since serveral people pointed it out now, all I can do is apologize. It is the only steering wheel there is.He even kept the Grant aftermarket wheel...
