I'm helping a friendto sell his customized 1960 Lincoln Continental Formal Sedan (Mark V tribute car). It has 33,512 original miles on the body, andfeatures a high-gloss black exterior with mauve vinyl and cloth interior.
The car is locatedin Long Grove, Illinois (a suburb NW of Chicago).
The car began life off the Wixon, Michigan, assembly line as a 4 DoorLincoln Premiere Hardtop.Customization includes a rear roof cap that features a small rear, limo window, and fender skirts modified to make the car appear lower. A hood scoop was also fabricated. Continental Mark V touches were added. Other customizations include air ride lift suspension (rear only) w/ air tank in the trunk, air horn, 15-inch wheels and Goodyear radial tires, and aJVC stereo system w/ remote.
The car features like new exhaust system, and ice-cold air conditioning. Motor enhancements include Petronix electronic ignition, and a Holley 650 cfm double pump carburetor.
It has spent a good deal of its life in storage, which explains its low mileage and pristine condition. The previous owner says it was discovered in 1999 in Oklahoma, where it had been in storage since 1964. Theoriginal 430 V-8 motor was seized, but a similar 430 from a 1959 Lincoln was located, and the customization project was underway.
Thecloth interior is original, but the mauve vinyl has been replaced (including the headliner). The car also features the OEMspare tire and trunk interior.
I'm happy to pass along any questions you have for my friend, and will get responses ASAP.
Good luck bidding!
