Car description |
---|
We have a beautiful 74 Lincoln continental mark 4 and it is absolutely pristine. This car looks like it is new, and just rolled off of the factory floor. I think this car was just parked in a garage and only driven once or twice a year. Everything on the car from the body, to the carpet inside looks like it's new and has hardly been touched. Seats, headliner, all electronic controls, dash, chrome trim pieces on exterior, badges, all looks brand new, but is in fact original.
It starts up instantly upon turning the key, and runs immaculately. You'd never know it was built in 74 because this thing starts, runs and drives better than a lot of modern cars. I have driven it in town and on the interstate and it needs absolutely nothing.
Given the outstanding condition of this car, and with a car-fax confirmation, we can say with complete confidence that the car really only has 17, 453 true original miles.
Finding a continental this nice is nearly impossible, but with miles this low this car is truly one of a kind. We also found a 48-hour dealership test drive card from 1974 inside the car from the people that bought it when it was brand new.
After Purchasing the car we received a package in the mail which contained the original owners manual with factory Warranty ID card, and the original Dealership Bag that came with the car when it was first purchased from the dealership. It included a Consumer Information guide, Warranty Facts Booklet, and a Ford Oil selection guide. There was also a receipt from 1984 For a car wash and wax. These items were all kept separate from the car, in the owners house. They are now contained in a booklet that comes with the car as a testimony to its originality.
This was an estate car, so the owners passed away and the car was auctioned off. You can tell by looking at it that this car was loved very much and taken care of for its whole life.
Based on the descriptions given by Hagerty car valuation, this car easily surpasses a "#2" or "excellent" rating and sits between a #2 and a #1 condition car. I have attached pictures with the descriptions of each, and a fair price based on Hagerty's description would be somewhere in between 14,800 and 24,000. We have hopes of passing it on to a new owner who will appreciate its uniqueness.
