Now that I have said my bit, elcome to this auction for a RHD 1985 Land Rover 110 with factory fully reconditioned 3.5L V8 with power steering. Only 75,988 miles from new.

This vehicle was purchased in the UK as a barn find & had been in storage for 6 years hence the low mileage. This vehicle has only had 4 owners throughout its 30 years of life. Last owner had the vehicle since 1990. As this vehicle is 30 years old it qualifies as a vintage vehicle with DMV, his reduces your tag fees considerable (please check your local state if this applies to you)

As soon as we acquired the vehicle it was apparent the engine needed some tlc, o a full engine rebuild was in order (this was due to sitting in storage for 6 years) which was completed by a former Land Rover Solihull mechanic. The engine now runs like it left the factory 30 years ago. At the same time we installed a brand new clutch kit. (Please see image of engine re-build.) The V8 is now like a new engine and has that classic V8 note, tarts first time every time, dle's nicely and has great acceleration. No oil leaks or smoke of any kind.A brand new radiator was installed, he system flushed & fresh coolant added. For the folks up north, he heater works extremely well, lowing nice & hot for those cold winter days.

½ new exhaust system installed from half way back including brackets.

The bulletproof LT85, speed transmission is in excellent condition so is the matching LT-230 transfer box which shifts from low-high with ease.

All hubs and axles have been checked and if required, new bearings/seals installed. This vehicle is equip with the salisbury rear axle (very disirable heavy duty rear axle). All fluids renewed. New front cooper brake lines have been installed as well as new fuel lines have been installed.

New suspension all round including springs, hocks and hardware as well as new steering damper.

The 110 was treated to a complete set of new lights; new bowls, eadlights which are LHD beams from US roads, ide lights, ndicators and all rear lights which are all installed with stainless screws and are the Wipac brand, onsidered the best quality. To complement the new lights, new light surrounds and grill have been added which finishes the front end nicely with stainless fixing screws. The grill frame has been shot blasted & powder coated. All decals & logos are all genuine Land Rover parts.

The chassis is solid & has been fully coated in loctites rubberized undercoating (this is thinner than waxoil which I prefer as it doesn't hide any nasty surprises, owever still gives excellent corrosion resistancy). A new rear crossmember has been professionally welded in as well as 2 new bulkhead outriggers.

The bulkhead is in superb condition. Both side footwells were replaced with new items.

There are all new glass rubbers/seals and a brand new windshield with new wiper arms and blades.

All door bottoms have been replaced. Both front doors have new door skins and the rear door is a brand new unit. All doors have all new channeling & all windows work perfectly. All doors lock as they should.

All 4 original steel wheels have been shot blasted & powder coated as well as the rear tow bar & brackets. 5th spare tyre is in great condition.

A full exterior re-spray in burgundy metallic really makes this 110 stand out. All bare metal was first etch primed, rimed & then top coated.

The interior is in great condition for its age. A brand new carpet kit has been installed using premium quality jet black auto carpet, ll seats are original however are in great condition for age (re-trimming the seats in leather or simular will not cost the earth)

We have also not installed a new sound system. All prewiring is there if you wish to add this yourself.

Due to other projects & running out of time, e have not touched the braking system. This will need doing as they are soft & is not recommend to use until they are replaced. It is a basic braking system on a defender with front disc & rear drums so any mechanic can install without issue. Included in the sale of the vehicle is x2 new front discs, x new pads, x rear dums, x rear brake cylinders (rear ps has a slight leak), et of shoes for drums. This is a $300+ value included in the sale. Approx price for fitting is $300-$400. I will deduct $300 off the auction price for the braking system overhaul, o basically you will have a brand new set of brakes after you drop off at the mechanics.

This defender has all matching untampered VINS and has passed EPA/DOT inspections, leared customs without issue and has a clean FL title in hand. Also comes with a Genuine Land Rover Certificate of build.

To conclude, his is a great 110 that has been restored to a standard that allows the new owner to customize the interior to their own taste. Mechanically in great condition with a solid chassis. It is looking forward to its new life here in the USA. However, lease understand this is a, oon approaching, 0 year old vehicle and as such there are no warranties. Please do not expect it to be a new 2015 truck.

The model was introduced in 1983 as "Land Rover One Ten", nd in 1994 the "land Rover 90" was added - the numbers representing the respective wheelbases in inches.
