It is a fun. hard working car. that deserves a like minded owner. The following work has been completed on this defender:Rear Cross member just replaced. Has a stainless steel dashboard. Mechanically perfect runs like a dream. Good solid Chassis. Various work carried out on it during 2014 (brake pads. Wipers. Drag link ball joint. Oil seals etc. totaling almost $1. 00. New Radiator (2012). Both head gaskets replaced (2012). A new Battery (2014). New Bulkhead and door pillars (2014). Plus many other items to keep in in good running order. New fuel tank. (Good fuel consumption. Can get 25 to 30 miles per gallon. Better than diesels in fact). New bulkhead and pillars. Remaining is just really cosmetic work. For example where the new bulkhead has been fitted it is only in undercoat (white but a different white). I removed the seal around the roof light as it leaked. It is $60. 00 for a new one but I have not got around to buying and fitting it. The petrol gauge should not be trusted. Can read full when it is not and a few other minor items.
