Thanks for checking out the 1989 Land Rover 90. We can be reached by email or telephone. More photos are available. Please read our notes as there are some important details.
Adventure awaits! For sale on consignment, is this cool, classic style Land Rover in the 90" wheelbase with a removable hard top. It is a really sharp looking vehicle and in very good condition. These iconic vehicles were sold all over the world and are renown for their their off road ability and heritage. This example is the real deal, built in Solihull England for the European market. The odometer is in kilometres- 195,861 at the time of the listing, which translates to 121,702 miles. This truck was in Spain, then privately imported a few years ago to Florida, eventually landing in NC. It is a true left hand drive model which makes it easier to drive and more valuable here in the US than the RHD drive models which are more commonly imported. The engine is a 2.5L turbo Diesel (TD, not TDI) with 5 speed manual transmission. This Rover is in good working order. It is super solid underneath with no rust issues. The exterior has been repainted at some point recently - probably by whoever imported it. We are assuming the "Defender 90" decals were added at that time. Technically, this Rover is a model "90." The Defender name didn't exist until 1991, but since most people will call it a Defender anyway, it really doesn't matter. The interior is clean and in good shape just like the exterior. There are tons of accessoriesavailable for these vehicles especially for the exterior. Instead of being dressed up with add-ons, this Rover, has a sparse yet bold look with it's two black and white paint scheme. Our Land Rover technician has test driven and checked over this vehicle. He has performed some minor repairs including replacing the fuel & temperature gauges, tidyingup wiring etc. The majority of the recent work done to this Rover was doneby another local foreign car shop. Due to the age, this rover is exempt from inspection here in NC as well as odometer reporting. **Please note** that there is an inaccuracy on the NC title. Apparently when the Rover was titled in Florida, the DMV confused "Model 90" with model year 90. This vehicle is 1989 according to the VIN, but the title says it's a 1990. This is merely a clerical detail that can be corrected. But if you are concerned about it, please don't offer to buy the vehicle.
