Sadly, I'm selling my 1994 RRC. It's in a bit of an awkward spot because A LOT of work has been done and it's in great condition.
There's still more to do, but COVID has hindered my ability to bring things to completion. What you're looking at is a great, functional truck, that with a bit more attention, will be a real showstopper.
Happy to answer any questions, and will make every effort to be transparent about it's condition. Expect minor hiccups, but I can provide receipts for a variety of repairs and upgrades (~$15k) and inspections to validate it's condition.
Three owners. Spent it's first 10 years in Texas, then northern California. Currently residing in British Columbia where it only comes out in the sunshine.
The Good:- Clean title- Minimal surface rust. Never winter driven and spent most of it's life in California- Strong starter, runs well, no heat issues etc.- Dozens of new gaskets and seals (rear axle, front swivel, oil pan, valve cover. no leaks!!!)
- New tie rods- EAS replaced with SACHS springs and BILSTEIN struts- Replaced left swivel ball- Aligned and adjusted for oversized tires (with defender rims)-Brakes basically rebuilt from the pump to the pads - New front brake callipers
-New metal brake lines
-Rebuilt ABS pump -Replaced all pads and rotors (front and back)
- Bluetooth stereo
- Paint shines and looks great- Monstrous tires
The Bad:
- Check engine light is on, though no problem identified as the reader doesn't currently display any errors(?)- Driver armrest leather is in pretty rough shape. Minor tear on drivers side leather seam (sewn back together by hand)- Factory jack not included- Air conditioning doesn't work. Unsure what the issue is as it was a low priority.
- Stutters a little bit at medium acceleration. Mechanic tested, no fault found with vacuum or anything.- Power mirror motors don't work correctly. (can be adjusted manually)
- Cruise control not working- Low fan setting doesn't work.- Heated seats don't work.- If you live in Canada you'll probably need to remove the front window tinting
That's about it. Not my daily driver but I take it out for an hour or two every month without issue. Would love to keep it but that's life. A number of repairs not listed above have been done by the previous owner but documentation for them is a bit inconsistent.
Comes with a box o' parts (rear brake pad and calipers, extra lights, some nuts and bolts, spark plugs etc.). Also includes receipts for all services in the last 3 years. Prior history is, unforuntately, less documented.
Priced accordingly. There are a few minor unknowns listed above. Would recommend for someone knowledgable or willing to learn. You COULD daily drive it, but probably wouldn't recommend it to someone expecting perfection. It's a great, though imperfect truck.
Can help with international shipping.
Any questions, just ask.
