The body was stripped down, panels replaced where required. She is finished in Coniston Green, with silver trim. 1983 Land Rover graphics applied. The truck bed was stripped down, seats refurbished, new seat belts and rear tire carrier. It was floored with black diamond plate.
The wheels were blasted and finished in Limestone with new tires and tubes. New shock absorbers are fitted to the great leaf springs. The ride is firm, but not bouncy. The 2.25 petrol/gas engine gained a new 32/34 twin choke weber and a pancake filter for easy breathing. The LT76 gearbox and transfer case shift smoothly through all four gears, high/low and four wheel drive.
The headlights were replaced with uprated US spec units, and all the side and tail lights were replaced with new units from the UK. We swapped out the cigarette lighter for a double USB charging port.It has a full hoop set and currently has its new bikini top fitted. She also comes with a full canvas top, which has side windows fitted.
The cabin has the much more comfortable Defender seats fitted. These were stripped down repainted and the deluxe leather look vinyl upholstery. All the old foam molding was replaced with new. All the tunnel parts were stripped and painted in Coniston Green, and the floor plates are diamond plate in black.
All classic Land Rovers turn heads, this one could cause whiplash. A timeless machine given a new breath of life.
