GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1966 Land Rover Series IIA for your consideration. It is powered by a 2.25L inline-4 engine which is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. Power is sent to all four wheels making this a very capable vehicle both on and off the road.
The exterior of this awesome classic Land Rover is finished in a green color which is nicely complemented by a white top. It rides on tan wheels wrapped in good Firestone Destination A/T tires. All together this Land Rover has an exterior color scheme that is ideal for this body style.
Inside the vehicle, one will find two front bucket seats, rear jump seats, and a full-size spare mounted in the rear behind the front seats. Not only does this Series II look awesome it also drives well. It starts right up and has no clutch slip as the clutch was recently replaced. Only two people have had the opportunity to own this wonderful truck that has received a new frame and new leaf springs.
Coming out of World War II the Land Rover Series I, II, and III were Britain's answer to the United States built Willys Jeep. First made in 1948, Land Rover claimed in 1992 that 70% of all the Land Rovers built up to that point were still being used. The Series IIA is considered the most sturdy model ever created. It also possesses the classic look that many think of Land Rover for from appearances in popular films and documentaries set in Africa. These were built to cruise down whatever was underneath the wheels whether it was a road or not, and it's a job they have done really well.
