Description
This is a great little truck that has been a an absolute joy to own. It is ready to use on adventures and as a daily driver. It is not a show truck but if you are looking for a reliable Defender at a fair and reasonable price this truck could be for you.We bought it in Amsterdam last fall to use in our tour business, Sonoran Rovers in Southern Arizona
The Good:
- 7 Chassis in good shape,
- recently recovered seats,
- lots of sound deadening
- 4 point Safety Devices roll cage - expensive and a big safety upgrade
- Exmoor Trim canvas top
- No mechanical issues present in daily use
- Used weekly and tested on steep mountain roads.
- Comes with a folder with11 years of records from Holland totaling nearly 30k USD
- Recent timing belt
- JVC sound system
- Custom crafted walnut and maple wood dash top (comes with the original too)
- Have had up to 74mph (GPS) on the freeway, though it is happier at 60.
- Brakes properly
- Doors are sound, not rotten at all like some, some paint bubbling on the skins, see pics
Good to Know
- It has a few small dings here and there as befits a land rover of this age.Rear corner is the largest, easy fix.See images.
- Some touch ups that has left a little overspray on the passenger seat. I stopped noticing.
- Canvas is getting a little old
- Higher mileage 223k reads in kms - It runs as wells as any 200 TDI diesel truck we have owned.

- Chassis is in good shape but some surface corrosion is visible here and there
- Clock isn't wired up
- has had some bulkhead repairs in the past and there is evidence of repairs in the footwells.
