Land Rover Defender D90 1988 2.5 TD RHD
This is an original D90 with the rock solid 2.5 TD engine and 5 speed manual gear box. It has power steering which is really good to have in these vehicles. The chassis has been wax oiled, which has preserved it in great condition.
I imported it from the UK about 3 years ago and it has been a ton of fun. If you you are looking for a good running D90 that grabs a lot of attention but does not break the bank, this is it.
It starts and runs great and is in good shape for its years. Like any honest Defender of this age it is not perfect. It has some oxidation at the bottom of the doors (as with many Defenders due to the way the doors are constructed) and they have been repaired at some point. It has had a respray at sometime and shows the usual sign of wear and imperfections of a car of this age, but that is part of its charm. It’s RHD, which for me is just part of the fun in driving it - always makes me smile when I confuse servers at the drive through.
This is a great car that you can just run with as-is or update as you want. I have replaced the seats, center armrests as well as keeping up to date with regular maintenance. Odometer was replaced 20k ago - but have documentation to support 144k.
I just had it serviced and inspected by Biggs in Bellevue and have a lot of receipts and history. It has a Washington title and is good to go. I also have all the import paperwork.
Please note that this is an original Defender, if you know the vehicles you will love this car. If you don’t know them and are expecting a modern driving car, this is not it.
If you are serious come and take a look and make me an offer.
Would recommend seeing and picking up locally.
