Car description

Land Rover Defender 110 with original factory 200Tdi engine. Exceptionally good chassis and bulkhead (vehicle originally lived in Spain.)

Extensive mechanical overhaul by private Land Rover enthusiast between 2015-2018. Highlights include:

Full top end engine rebuild including remachined head, new valves, springs, cam belt and tensioner, injection pump, water pump, Revotech electric fan.
New Ashcroft Transmissions 5 speed LT77S gearbox, clutch, seal and HD fork.
A reconditioned complete front axle with rebuilt diff, brake discs and swivel hubs.
Discovery 1.2:1 LT230 transfer box for better highway gearing. New bearings, seals and Ashcrofts uprated crossdrilled input gear. New rear propshaft.
Rebuilt suspension with new HD springs, shocks, steering damper, tie rod and sump guard.
New doors. (Retro style slam doors with sliding windows.)
New Sawtooth Alloy wheels with BFGoodrich All Terrain KO2 tyres.
New Mantec swing away wheel carrier and new side steps.
Exmoor Trim Modular seats and a new Tithonus military moulded floor matting system.
The heating system was dismantled, given a full antibacterial treatment, a new blower motor and resealed.
The A/C was fitted in 2018.
The DOT approved panoramic wide windows were fitted by Vehicle Glazing Specialists in 2018.

Ex Military Tithonus bench seats and new lap belts were fitted to one side of the rear for carrying an extra 4 passengers. The other side has deliberately been left blank for bolting in a gun case/fishing box/beach equipment, storage or dog transport. With the privacy glass, it also makes a great sleeping space.

The car has covered just under 134k miles. I have covered about 8k miles of that. About 3k of that since completion (in other words post head, suspension, gearbox, a/c, tyres etc.) It has been mainly used for car shows and winter Florida beach runs. It runs beautifully, the drivetrain is tight, the higher gearing works well on the highway and the new a/c is very efficient.

After taking 3 years of my spare time, I shall be sad to see it go.

It is garaged in Jupiter FL with a clean title. Ebay wont accept the VIN number hence 111. The actual VIN is on the Heritage Certificate shown, the original VIN plate and the chassis leg. I have photos of those on request. I also have the import forms and original Spanish service history showing the same. I welcome any serious enquiries.
