Before you is my 1982 Range Rover 2-Door. I have owned this Range Rover for about 10 years. The truck has been restored and kept stock in appearance. This Range Rover had no rust when I started the restoration. I had the interior coated with Line-X because I live at the beach and wanted easy maintenance. I purchased all necessary parts from a Range Rover collector in England. The seats are leather.
The truck runs great. The motor starts immediately. It is stock but we added Edelbrock carburetor, Mallory distributor and coil so the motor could be timed properly. The transmission is a stock 4-speed. I was told not to put a 5-speed in because they are too light. This transmission is the same that they use in tanks. It has no catalytic converters. This will have to be added by the new buyer. There is no air but I think I have the original compressor, which needs to be rebuilt. If I find the original compressor, it goes with the Rover.
This Range Rover has won its class in the Central Coast British Car Show for the years 2012 to 2017. It is a great vehicle and rarer than a D90.
The truck is being sold TMU (True Mileage Unknown) but I believe it to have around 60,000 miles on it. The speedometer works but not the odometer. We have a clear New Mexico title. This car cannot be sold in California unless the buyer is a dealer. The car is classified as antique/classic due to its age in New Mexico so it doesn't need to be smogged in New Mexico. Please check the rules that are particular to your state regarding antiques/classic cars and smog exemptions.
Please call if you have any questions - Rick: (805)218-0606. I type very slowly so please call rather than text or email. This is my personal vehicle that I am selling because it is time for a new project. Again, please call if you have any questions.
